Katie+Robert | Boyce, VA

Katie and Robert’s wedding isn’t until October of this year, but they decided to go ahead and have their engagement photos done now so that they could share them with their family and friends in preparation for their big day.  They both were complete naturals at finding good spots to take pictures, going from pose to pose without much direction from me, and keeping good smiles on their faces throughout the entire shoot.  I thoroughly enjoyed photographing Katie and Robert, and look forward to doing the same for their wedding!

Also, visit Katie’s blog if you get a chance to check out their wedding planning progress!  (nearlyweddedbliss.blogspot.coom)

Have a look through some of the photos from our session, and feel free to leave a comment below this blog entry.  Thanks for visiting and don’t forget to “like” me on facebook!:)

PWCSA Board Members | Woodbridge, VA

As the Multimedia Production Specialist for the Prince William County Service Authority, I am responsible for the development, creation, and execution of all forms of media (print, digital, etc) through graphic design, video production, social media, and photography.

This week, I was asked to take on probably the most important assignment of my Service Authority career…  photographing the PWCSA Board Members.  Now, these photos will be hanging framed on the wall outside the board meeting room as well as representing them online for upwards of 5-10 years.  So, needless to say, these photos are quite important.

I used a plain white background that came through as a nice and soft grayish color behind them for all the photos, but will also be easily traced out in Photoshop so that we can insert plain white, black, color, or any other background if we want.

If you or your business ever need professional headshots done, send me a message through the drop-down contact form at the top of this website.  Thanks!

Small Town Wedding | Culpeper, VA

Kim and Aaron booked me as their photographer almost a year in advance.  I’ve had their wedding date marked down on my calendar for months and months, so I eventually got to wondering if their wedding would live up to the wait…  and oh boy it did!  I thoroughly enjoyed everything about their wedding…  the small town feel, the unique/quaint decorations, the outdoor ceremony, the reception location, the fact that Kim got dressed in a local coffee shop across the street from the ceremony…  everything just turned out to be so great for their guests and photos.

As usual, I appreciate any feedback or comments you may have (post in the comments field below this photoblog entry).  Thanks for visiting my photoblog, and don’t forget to “like” me on facebook!:)

Baby Big Sister | Manassas, VA

This cute little baby girl named Emily is now actually going to be a big sister!  Her mom Chelsea found me through her friend who happened to be one of my previous wedding clients.  This shoot had been in the works for a few weeks due to scheduling issues with the uncooperative weather (seems to be a theme these days lol), but as you can see…  everything worked out just fine, and Chelsea got to have her little daughter’s baby pictures taken before she turned 14 months old.  And to top it all off, little Emily is going to be a big sister soon!

This was my second baby photo session, and I really enjoyed it.  There’s a totally different way to photographing a baby when compared to photographing a couple, and it was a nice change of pace.  Have a look at some of what I think turned out to be the best results of the shoot, and feel free to let me know what you think down in the comments section below.  Thanks and don’t forget to “Like” me on Facebook!:)

A Love Story Narrative | Manassas, VA

Well, this was my first crack at shooting an engagement video, and overall I think it turned out pretty good.  Visually it comes across quite stunning, but the audio definitely will be improved upon next time with a better external mic…  and hopefully a day without tons of wind!  Otherwise, let me know what you think in the comments section below.  Thanks!
